Embrace your softer side…..

As we recently saw at London fashion week, this season is all about nudes. We are seeing skin-like tones of peach blossom, crisp cool creams and warm stone colours being used as a backdrop for contrasting statement pieces, such as oversized decorative mirrors and chunky furniture in dark timbers, such as wenge, walnut, tinted zebrano and macassar ebony. The Little Green Paint & Paper Company has some gorgeous neutral hues that will compliment any interior scheme. Try using China Clay with Regency Fawn for a gorgeously subtle and harmonious look.

If you are thinking about changing your curtains, then loose layers of sheer fabrics that move softly in the breeze are set to be huge this season for both domestic interiors and hotels and restaurants. Choose delicate sheers in barely there tones of coffee and cream. This style of window dressing will look fantastic if you have bi-folding doors between a living space and the garden, as they will gently compliment the feature that is the large glass doors, without being oppressive.

Remember to add detail and interest to your nude, tonal scheme. Try adding a touch of sparkle with subtle hints of mother of pearl or shell accessories. Use mirrors or mirrored furniture which will reflect the light and add a different dimension or use textures and patterns to create an effortlessly stylish space.

Our top tip this month is to buy wisely for the home by investing in some quality luxury items. Choose a statement piece that will become iconic over time or a timeless classic that will never look dated. We are currently lusting after the Harvard Leather Console Table in Shagreen - Smoke from Simpsons Mirrors.
